Reveal Your Inner Rider in the STRAVA Challenge
Ride 50 km and gain elevation of 500 meters to take part in a prize cycling challenge where everyone wins!
A new cycling season brings new challenges! The L'Etape club in the STRAVA app already counts 1,200 members, and we are excited to follow your cycling adventures. To reward your efforts and encourage even more riders to join our club, we are launching a prize challenge. To participate, you must complete a 50 km ride on a varied route with 500 meters of elevation gain and submit the entry form no later than March 31, 2026.
Cycling challenge: at least 50 km and 500 m elevation gain
During the challenge period, by March 31, 2026, complete at least one ride of 50 km on a varied route of your choice (in Strava: “distance”) and achieve at least 500 m of elevation gain (in Strava: “elevation gain”). Your finishing time is not important and does not affect the prize draw.
We recommend riding at your own pace, which is key in the early spring period when you are building mileage and developing a quality endurance base.
Bike type: technically sound, non-electric
You may participate with any technically sound bicycle powered solely by your own physical effort. Participation with e-bikes is not allowed. We encourage outdoor activities; however, if weather conditions do not permit, you may also complete the challenge on an indoor trainer.
Use longer outdoor rides to improve your cycling skills and technique. Observe other road users and develop your internal awareness: your riding technique, activation of different muscle groups with minimal changes in handlebar position, body posture, pedal stroke, etc.
13 prizes for 13 winners
After the challenge concludes, all submitted entry forms will be included in the prize draw. The prizes are:
- 2x entry fee for Merkur zavarovalnica L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France Ride, 80 km or TOSIDOS the Race, 130 km (winner's choice, date of challenge: Sep 6, 2026)
- 2x entry fee for Merkur zavarovalnica Business Stage – group ride, 34 km (date of challenge: Sep 5, 2026)
- 2x L'Etape Slovenia cycling jersey
- 3x L'Etape Slovenia cotton T-shirts
- 4x cycling socks.
Each person may participate with only one entry form (multiple submissions by the same person will not be considered). Anyone who meets the participation requirements and agrees to the terms is eligible for the prize draw.
A reward for everyone: reveal your cycling type
After completing the 50–500 cycling activity, fill out the participation form for the prize draw. This time, the form also includes a short 4-question quiz that will reveal what type of cyclist you are.

Merkur zavarovalnica L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France Club
The prize challenge is intended for members of the L'Etape Slovenia club on STRAVA. Any STRAVA user with a personal profile can join the club free of charge and without obligation. A free STRAVA account is sufficient to participate.
- If you are already a STRAVA user but not yet a member of our club, simply find the club and join (“Join”).
- If you are not yet a STRAVA user, download the app to your smartphone, create your profile, find the club, and join (“Join”). To participate, record your 50–500 cycling activity in the app or upload it from your smartwatch.
