Notice of road closures due to the course of L'Etape Slovenia 2025
On September 6-7, 2025 roads and road connections along the routes of the L'Etape Slovenia cycling trials in Kranj and its surroundings will be closed periodically.
On 6 and 7 September 2025, roads and road connections along the cycling challenges routes within the framework of the L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France festival in Kranj and its surroundings will be completely closed for short periods of time (30–60 min) to ensure the safety and satisfaction of all participants in the cycling tests. We ask all road users for their patience and thank them in advance for following the instructions of the police and organizers. Saturday cycling L'Etape Slovenia - partial or complete road closure 12:00–20:00
Merkur zavarovalnica business stage, 34 km, start at 1:30 PM
- Route route: Kranj–Naklo–Žeje–Križe–Golnik–Srakovlje–Bobovek–Predoslje–Britof–Kranj.

Children's cycling Future heroes, 800 m lap
Children's cycling Future heroes will take place in Kranj in the immediate vicinity of the central venue on Slovenski trg with starts from 3:20 PM to 3:40 PM in an 800 m loop along the roads:
- Koroška cesta (hotel Creina, start)–Gregorčičeva street–Stritarjeva street–Koroška cesta–Kranj.
Complete road closure: from 2:50 PM to 4:00 PM.
Family cycling and cycling for all generations, 13 km, start at 4.30 PM
Family cycling and cycling for all generations:12.5 km with a start at 4:30 PM will take place on the route.
- Kranj–Naklo–Žeje–Križe–Golnik–Srakovlje–Bobovek–Predoslje–Britof–Kranj.
Moving mobile barrier from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
The K0.0lesarim challenge at full speed! on Jelenov klanec
With the first start at 6:20 PM. At 10:00 a.m., the K0.0.lesarim na polno! challenge will take place, where 100 participants will compete in the climb up the Jelenov klanec. The cyclists will start individually and will take place in 30-second intervals.
Sunday's L'Etape Slovenia trials - partial or complete road closures 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Starting at 9:00 AM on Koroška cesta near the Kranj High School, cycling trials for recreational cyclists will take place on an 81 km and 130 km long route through several municipalities: Kranj, Škofja Loka, Medvode, Vodice, Komenda, Kamnik, Cerklje na Gorenjskem, Šenčur, Preddvor, Železniki with the finish in Kranj.

To ensure the safe and smooth running of the race, the roads will be completely closed for short periods of time (30–60 minutes). Traffic will be released for a maximum of 15 minutes between the closures. Roads and intermediate connections will be closed in accordance with the race schedule. All roads and junctions will be opened to traffic as soon as the last cyclist passes the conflict point. Traffic in the direction of the race will also be opened between the columns of cyclists in the meantime.
We thank all residents and road users in advance for their patience and understanding and ask them to strictly follow the instructions of the organizers and police officers. Only together can we ensure the safe conduct of the event.
