Cycling Challenge K0.0lesari na polno! Entries Open for 2026

On Friday, 29 May 2026, registrations open for the boutique Union 0.0 Radler Isotonic challenge K0.0lesari na polno! Only 100 spots are available.

As part of the two-day cycling festival Merkur zavarovalnica L’Etape Slovenia by Tour de France, in collaboration with our partner Union 0.0 Radler Isotonic and our ambassador, top cycling star Matej Mohorič, we are announcing registrations for the third time for the shortest time trial in the world. The climb up Jelenov klanec is 500 metres long, with 29 metres of elevation gain and an average gradient of 10%. Only the ascent time counts. Safety comes first.ž

This boutique challenge for the boldest female and male cyclists is limited to just 100 challengers of Matej Mohorič.

Round 1: 100 cyclists challenge Matej Mohorič

A selected group of 100 participants will compete on Saturday, 5 September 2026, at approximately 19:00, starting individually at 30-second intervals. As the 101st participant, Matej Mohorič himself will take on the course, drawing all eyes to his technique, cadence, and time.

Will any of the challengers be faster than the champion? The fastest female cyclists advance to the superfinal, while the fastest male cyclists advance to the semifinal.

Round 2: Women’s superfinal and men’s semifinal

All 100 selected participants compete in their individual “solo” run not only for a better time than Matej Mohorič, but also to qualify for a second round in their respective category—women and men, without age categories.

  • Superfinal for the 5 fastest women cyclists: simultaneous start for the final podium ranking.
  • Semifinal for the 10 fastest men cyclists: simultaneous starts in two groups of five riders each.
  • Men superfinal: The 2 fastest from each group automatically qualify for the superfinal, along with one “lucky loser” (the next fastest time across both groups).

This year’s novelty: the 5 fastest women advance to the superfinal to compete for the overall victory, while the 10 fastest men compete first in the semifinal before advancing to the superfinal.

Round 3: Men’s superfinal

To claim the overall victory, the male superfinalists will have to ride up Jelenov klanec for the third time.

Tactics, watts, speed, improvisation, technique, line choice, patience, composure—everything will decide the final winner!

Course of the K0.0lesari na polno! challenge

The course remains unchanged, as does the timing method: only the ascent time counts. The start and finish area will be clearly marked on Koroška Road opposite Hotel Creina.

Free entry and jersey provided by Union 0.0 Radler Isotonic

All 100 participants in the K0.0lesari na polno! challenge will also receive a uniquely designed jersey (by Alé) with their free registration. The cycling jersey serves as the race number, and wearing it is mandatory for participation.
Participants will collect their jersey, equipped with a timing chip, on the day of the event, Saturday, 5 September 2026, in the lobby of the Municipality of Kranj, between 10:00 and 17:00.

When registering, make sure to select the correct jersey size, as changes will not be possible later.

Participation in the challenge is only possible in the official K0.0lesari na polno! jersey. Helmet use is mandatory.

Who can register for the challenge?

The challenge is open to all adults aged 18 or over (participants must be at least 18 years old on 5 September 2026 at 00:00:01) who are not professional cyclists. Participation is at one’s own responsibility. Each participant is responsible for ensuring their bicycle is technically sound, and wearing a helmet is mandatory. E-bikes are not permitted; the challenge is primarily intended for road cyclists.

Sportsmanship and safety

All participants in the events within the framework of Merkur zavarovalnica L’Etape Slovenia by Tour de France are encouraged to ensure their own safety and that of others, to respect traffic regulations, follow the instructions of organisers, police officers, marshals, and safety staff, and to be considerate towards other road users.

Sport is our joy—let’s be fair, collegial, and respectful.
