My Tour of Slovenia during the Tour of Slovenia
While professional cyclists will traditionally compete in the five stages of the Tour of Slovenia from June 4–8, 2025, this year introduces a new recreational road cycling event, My Tour of Slovenia. The event will take place on June 7, 2025, along a section of Stage 4 of the 31st Tour of Slovenia, running from Mozirje to Golte.
Key Event Details
- Mass start for all registered cyclists on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 9:00 AM in Mozirje.
- Distance: 81.9 km with one mountain climb at Kranjski Rak.
- Elevation gain: Nearly 2,000 meters.
- Two refreshment stations along the route.
- Roads closed to general traffic.
- Police escort and top-level safety measures.
- Finishers receive a commemorative medal.
- Finish line: Cable car station at Golte.
On the same day, professional cyclists will also ride this section during Stage 4 of the Tour of Slovenia, though their stage will begin in Maribor.
At the finish line, you can celebrate as a hero, medal in hand, and cheer on the pros in a fantastic race-day atmosphere!

A Scenic Route Through the Savinja Region
The ride starts along the Savinja River towards the village of Nizko, where a neutralized rollout ensures safety for all participants before reaching kilometer 0. The scenic route continues through Ljubno ob Savinji and Luče, before heading towards the first mountain climb at Kranjski Rak (5.1 km, 8.4% average gradient). The first male and female riders to summit will be crowned mountain champions.
A technical descent follows towards Črnivec, where the first refreshment station awaits at approximately km 35. The route then crosses into the Kamnik municipality, passing through Nova Štifta and Gornji Grad before reaching Nazarje, where the second and final refreshment station is located.
The grand finale is the challenging ascent to Golte (13.8 km, 7.4% average gradient, with sections exceeding 12%). The finish line rewards riders with stunning panoramic views—a perfect conclusion to an epic ride!
