Gorenjska banka is proudly entering its fifth consecutive year as the strategic sponsor of L’Etape Slovenia by Tour de France.

As a long standing partner of the Merkur zavarovalnica L’Etape Slovenia by Tour de France festival, the Gorenjska banka will once again enable free registration for Saturday’s children’s races Future Heroes and for the Family Ride. Supporting active lifestyles and strengthening family bonds remains one of their core commitments.

Supporting active lifestyles and strengthening family bonds remains one of their core commitments.

Gorenjska banka continues as the general sponsor of Saturday’s cycling challenges for the youngest riders on balance bikes and for primary school children. The events take place on an 800 metre loop near the main venue, while the Family Ride covers a 13 kilometre route around the Kranj area. Thanks to this partnership, registrations will once again be free of charge, with sign ups expected to open in late May or early June 2026.

Polka Dot Jersey – Crowning the Kings and Queens of the Climbs

For the fifth year in a row, Gorenjska banka is also the proud sponsor of the iconic polka dot jersey (fr. Maillot à pois rouges) at L’Etape Slovenia. The jersey is awarded to the fastest climbers of Sunday’s short (Ride) and long (Tosidos the Race) courses in both the women’s and men’s categories. Honouring the kings and queens of the climbs is a tradition deeply rooted in professional cycling, dating back to 1975, and remains a symbol of pride and excellence.
