With the opening of registrations for the Sunday shorter (80 km) and longer (130–150 km) cycling challenges of Merkur Insurance L’Etape Slovenia by Tour de France, taking place on September 6, 2026, with both start and finish in Kranj, we also unveil the official cycling jersey.
The 5th edition of the 2-day cycling festival will traditionally take place on the first weekend of September (September 5–6, 2026) and will once again offer a rich program with numerous cycling events. For now, registration is open only for the Sunday Ride - shorter and Race - longer challenges; registration for other events will follow later.
The fifth edition – the fifth creative challenge for the design studio
For the upcoming edition of the L’Etape Slovenia road cycling challenge, we once again joined forces with the creative agency Ale, designing a completely new look for the jersey.
In numerology, the number 5 symbolizes balance and represents freedom, independence, adventure, and exploration — as well as spiritual growth through experience.
Strength, freedom, and wisdom
We “dressed” the number five in purple, a color associated with wisdom, independence, spiritual strength, and creativity, and complemented it with deep marine navy blue, symbolizing intelligence, confidence, and calmness.
To top it all off, we added a slightly psychedelic pattern designed to “energize” you on your path to achieving your goals.
We combined all the key qualities you need on your journey toward your cycling goals.

This year’s jersey features the same design for both genders, but the cuts differ accordingly, so please pay attention when choosing the right size.
