Merkur zavarovalnica presenting partner of L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France 2025
Merkur zavarovalnica becomes the presenting partner of the L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France 2-days cycling festival in 2025.
Thanks to Merkur zavarovalnica, which is joining as the presenting partner of the event, Saturday’s program will now include also a team-based cycling challenge. The inaugural edition of the business ride challenge aims to foster connections among colleagues, encourage socializing outside the workplace, and strengthen relationships, as participants will cycle the approximately 30 km course in pairs.
Business Ride Promotes Team Building
The business stage encourages teamwork, collegiality, and a touch of competitiveness. The route will be approximately 30 km long, with no major climbs, starting and finishing in Kranj. A unique aspect of this format is that each team will consist of two cyclists representing their company or organization. Registrations open in early March.
Only 300 Spots Left for the Sunday Challenges
So far, more than 700 cyclists from Slovenia and abroad have registered, marking exceptional growth compared to previous editions. The high number of registrations is primarily due to returning participants, who rated their experience at L'Etape Slovenia 2024 with an impressive 9.1 out of 10 and enthusiastically recommend the event to friends. Due to overwhelming demand and increased registrations, the number of available spots in the designated period is limited to ensure the safety of all participants. Currently, only 300 spots remain for mid-season registration for either the long or short course—after which the registration fee will increase.
L'Etape Collection at Promotional Prices Until February 28, 2025
Along with registration, participants can order the official L'Etape Slovenia 2025 jersey, which features the silhouette of mountains and Triglav, a symbol of Slovenian pride and victory, blending Slovenia and the Gorenjska region with the iconic design of Tour de France jerseys. Both men's and women's versions of the jersey are available, along with the rest of the collection at promotional prices. The jersey can be ordered along with registration until the end of June, while the rest of the collection is only available at discounted prices until February 28, 2025.
Saturday’s Cycling Challenges
In addition to the newly introduced Merkur zavarovalnica business ride challenge, Saturday’s cycling festival program will also feature "traditional" cycling challenges: from non-competitive rides for young athletes on balance bikes and family rides to the thrilling individual time trial climb of Jelenov klanec. Registrations for Saturday’s challenges are not yet open.
