Information for Participants of the K0.0lesari na polno! Challenge 2026

Challengers, attention! Read the key information and check the individual start list.

Probably the shortest cycling time trial challenge in the world is becoming increasingly attractive to both competitors and spectators. This is already the 3rd edition of the K0.0lesari na polno! challenge, organized together with our partner Union 0.0 Radler Isotonic. They provide free registration for 100 challengers and the official challenge jersey in a striking design, produced by Alé. The jersey is the trademark of the event, so all competitors must race in it. The challenge will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, with the individual starts beginning at 18:20 in 30-second intervals. Route: climb up Jelenov klanec; only the climbing time is measured.

Novelty for Male Challengers: The Semifinals

The extreme popularity of the challenge is reflected in the number of registrations received within just a few days of opening. Competitors are divided into two absolute categories: women and men. Since competitive recreational cycling still attracts more men than women, we have introduced a novelty for the men's category this year. After the individual time trial, the top 10 fastest competitors by time will qualify for two semifinal groups of 5 challengers each. From there, 1st and 2nd place in both semifinal groups automatically advance to the superfinal, along with the best time among the third-placed riders (the lucky loser).

The competition remains unchanged for the women's category: after the individual time trial, the 5 fastest competitors will face off in the superfinal, alongside Matej Mohorič.

Individual START at 18:20

The start of the 100 challengers takes place individually at 30-second intervals, running from 18:20 to 19:10, when our ambassador, Matej Mohorič, will be the last to take on the course. On the start list, challengers are listed alphabetically by first name regardless of gender, although the final results will be split into two absolute categories: women and men.

‼️If a challenger does not appear at the start, the next rider in line will start immediately, with no gap between the 30-second start intervals. RECOMMENDATION: Please be at the start area a few minutes before your scheduled start time and follow the instructions of the official announcer.

Guidelines for Your Optimal Performance and an Unforgettable Experience

We highly recommend warming up thoroughly before the start to reduce the risk of injuries, muscle cramps, etc., and ensuring you are sufficiently hydrated. Be aware of your own capabilities and how you feel on the day of the race. The race will take place on a road closed to regular traffic. However, warming up on the challenge route will no longer be possible after 18:00 to ensure all necessary safety measures for the execution of the race. If you advance to the next round, make sure to warm up or prepare with a brief muscle activation before your next start. Take care of your body's recovery after your performance.

Respect your body and take care of your safety and the safety of other participants.

Key Information on the Race Regulations

  1. The competition is only allowed on road bikes, without any assistance from electric motors or similar devices.
  2. Helmets are mandatory.
  3. Participation is only permitted while wearing the upper part of the official challenge jersey.
  4. Check your start time and ensure you arrive at the start line on time. If you are late, you lose your right to start.
  5. The start will be on Koroška cesta at the designated spot (opposite Hotel Creina). After a few flat meters, the course descends down Jelenov klanec. The descent is not timed, so we recommend extreme caution and a slow pace.
  6. After descending Jelenov klanec, shortly before the roundabout, you will need to turn around and begin the climb. Your climbing time will start being measured as you cross the marked timing mat on the road.
  7. The finish line is at the top of the climb and will be clearly marked.
  8. Only the climbing time is measured (the section from the timing mat to the finish line), and only this climbing time counts for the final ranking.
