L’Etape Reward Progam registration open for L’Etape du Tour
A programme that rewards participants at more demanding stages of the L'Etape series races
The legendary Tour de France got its recreational version in 1993, when the first L'Etape du Tour test was held - that is, the French stage test, and it took place in the Pyrenees with as many as three mountain climbs: Col du Tourmalet (2115 m), Col du Soulor (1474 m), Col de l'Aubisque (1709 m) and a total length of 190 km.

The popularity of cycling and the yellow colour among the French
The popularity of cycling and the yellow colour among the French is a story in itself, as it is about strong feelings of belonging, pride, patriotism, and above all, awareness of the unique opportunity to experience the race as a top cyclist, since the L’Etape du Tour for recreational riders always takes place at the same selected stage that is a few days later cycled by professionals as part of the Tour de France.
How prestigious it is to be part of the legendary race is evidenced by the fact that there were already more than 1,700 registrations at the first event, despite the difficulty of the route. Since then, L'Etape du Tour has seen 30 performances, but in 2020 and 2021 the covid-19 epidemic was stronger and the events were not carried out.
Registrations for L'Etape du Tour always sell out in just a few hours - and all 16,000 starting places!
