2026 Route Change: Decathlon the Ride and Tosidos the Race
Decathlon the Ride and Tosidos the Race will remain the same as last year.
Due to road maintenance works – resurfacing of the road section between Štefanja Gora and Možjanca – and the inability to guarantee their completion on time, this Sunday's routes of the Merkur zavarovalnica L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France will follow the same course as last year. There will be no previously announced additional climb through Grad to Štefanja Gora and descent through Možjanca to Preddvor. This means that after descending from Šenturška Gora, the sharp left turn to Grad remains in place.
For everyone's safety, please adapt your speed to the conditions and take extra care on descents and technical sections. Thank you for following the instructions of marshals and police officers.
Decathlon the Ride and Tosidos the Race
The shorter route – Decathlon the Ride (80 km) and the longer route – Tosidos the Race (130 km) are thus "returning" to last year's tracks, with two minor changes:
- Near Preddvor
This year's route will run along the main Tupaliče–Preddvor road and will lead to the center of Preddvor across the renovated bridge. - Near Kranj (Planina)
In the final section of the shorter route (applies to all participants), the route will continue at the cemetery roundabout along Angelca Hlebce Street past the back of the Supernova shopping center. At the intersection, it will join Cesta 1. maja, then continue with a left turn onto Savska cesta, followed by the final climb up Jelenov klanec along Ljubljanska cesta to the finish line, or the continuation for participants on the longer route.

Please follow the warning signs, safety markings, gestures, and whistles of the marshals and police officers. Adjust your speed to the conditions and, above all, respect your body. Do not push past the limits of your own abilities and stay aware of how you feel.

Feed Stations
Feed stations will be available along the route and at the finish line. The on-route stations will be located at:
- 52.2 km: Šenturška Gora
- 82.7 km: Kranj (after crossing the finish line)
- 100.8 km: Lajše/Podblica
- 118.9 km: Bukovščica.
Tour de France Green and Polka Dot Jersey Segments
Following the example of the legendary Tour de France, segments counting towards the green and polka dot jerseys will be visibly marked on the route:
- Green Jersey (fastest female and male sprinter): Short and long route, 73.5–74 km.
- Polka Dot Jersey (fastest female and male climbers) on the following mountain passes:
- shorter route: Šenturška Gora, 49.1–52 km.
- longer route: Šenturška Gora, 49.1–52 km; Jamnik, 93.5 km–99.9 km.
Bib Number Pick-up and Cycling Festival Program
This year, we will again organize early bib number pick-ups in Maribor, Ljubljana, and Kranj. Details will be announced soon.
Pick-up will also be possible at the venue's info point in the lobby of the Municipality of Kranj (Slovenski trg 1, entrance from the Brioni parking lot) during the following hours:
- Saturday, Sept 5, 2026: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday, Sept 6, 2026: 7:00 AM – 8:15 AM
